OUR STORY
Our Story
Redeemer is part of the Presbyterian Church in America Denomination (PCA) and is a church plant in Evans, Georgia. During the summer of 2000, a core of people began meeting in a home for bible study and prayer. Soon the group began meeting on Sunday evenings at an Elementary School and after a period of steady growth, the meetings were moved to Sunday mornings and Sunday school began for children and adults. In 2002, the mission church moved and began leasing renovated storefront space in the Evans Village Shopping Center.
Redeemer would become formally organized (particularized) and in January of 2003, the new church launched with 68 charter members. Redeemer would meet in the storefront for several more years before purchasing property and building its own facility. We built and moved into our new facility 2009 located at 2540 William Few Parkway. Our property sits on 28 acres and our future growth and new buildings are in its early stages. Redeemer continues to grow and serve families in Columbia County.
